Jumping from # 18 to # 4, Naoki Kenji's "Uschiu No Daikan" from the compilation Chill On The Moon moves into the number one spot in it's 15th week in rotation. Naoki has crafted a subtle downtempo tune with a soft, mellow bass line, stabbing keyboards and swirling synths. Listen very carefully as there are layered sounds that you could miss from casual listening. Never overpowering, just cool and mellow throughout the length of the track.

This week Climatic's "St. George" from the excellent compilation Jazz Lounge - The Finest in Jazz Lounge takes over the number one spot. From the opening bright, spry keyboard refrain, it's like a stimulant for the brain cells. Now, what's next? The drums kick in to start the head bobbing and the feet tapping and finally the guitar starts a simple jazz melody that carries this cool track to its finale.

Second consecutive week in the # 1 position is "Jazz Music (Lemongrass Remix)" by Lemongrass from the album The Remix Sessions.  Roland Voss aka Lemongrass remixed Luke Hampton's original jazzy, funky "Jazz Music" which climbed into the number one spot today. Lemongrass kept the jazz piano licks, the dub sound,  but added a set of big band horns, turntable scratching and revamped the last two minutes and twenty seconds of the original to include a blazing trumpet solo. One of his best remixes to date.
