The Jazzy Lounge Songs of the Week
November 12-18, 2007Keefe Marzell "Now and Forever" Drawn Windows
This smooth jazz track caught my attention while perusing Keefe Marzell's Myspace profile. Randy Scott penned "Now & Forever". Keefe brought in his cousin, Tim Slaughter, to sing on it and intertwines with the sax player to give this track a unique sound.
Web "City Lights" Ballroom Bits
Some of the major sites carrying Ballroom Bits categorize it as rock, but I like to think of the track City Lights as a little bit ballroom, lounge, show tunes, and electronica. Definitely unique in its approach and style.
Tape Five "Bossa Reloaded" (video track)
This video track is a remix of Tape Five's original track "Bossa for a Coupe." Jazzy, lounge and ready for a trip to the Mediterranean, it'll win your heart, if it doesn't steal it first.
Amanaska "Border Crossing" Circles
When listening to Border Crossing, you honestly feel the adventure of moving from one familiar locale to one which brings intrigue and wonderment. As some would say, "A great driving record."
Planet Lounge "Ocean Drive" Space Night Vol. VIII (Disc II)
Jazz. Smooth jazz. Mellow. Mellow groove. Lounge. The preceding words describe the experience this track establishes. The piano carries the melody of this track from beginning to end and you become engrossed with every note.
